This scoping review examines how social accountability is integrated into clinical education for health professionals, students, and educators. Based on 58 studies identified from six databases, it finds that socially accountable clinical training can support health equity by aligning education, research, and service with community health priorities. Key areas include curriculum integration, faculty engagement, community involvement, practical training approaches, educational outcomes, and evaluation strategies. However, implementation remains uneven, with persistent gaps in assessment, curriculum alignment, and context-specific strategies. The review calls for more evidence on effective implementation, stronger evaluation approaches, and deeper stakeholder collaboration across diverse settings.
