Many national and international health organizations prioritize reducing health inequalities, leading to the development of evidence-based equity initiatives. This paper presents a program focused on evidence-based tools for policy initiatives aimed at reducing inequities. Five key assessment tools are highlighted: a systematic review database on interventions to reduce inequalities, health coaches to support shared decision-making in disadvantaged groups, the CIET Cycle for evidence-based decision-making, the Ottawa Equity Gauge for applying global equity frameworks in industrialized settings, and the Needs-Based Health Assessment Toolkit for informed policy decisions. These tools support data-driven, equitable health development.
